The world of video games came across a number of updates in the recent past, thanks to the E3 2017 which was held a few days back. There was a clear indication of how the next gaming console from Microsoft is going to shape up. However, there was nothing at all from Sony as far as the PS5 release date is concerned.
But it seems that the fans who have been eagerly waiting for the launch of the next-generation gaming console from Sony have got something to think about. It is speculated that Sony PlayStation 5 is going to be launched at some point of time in the year 2018. However, the latest news which has come up certainly comes as a big jolt for all the fans which indicates that it will not be in 2018 that the PS5 will up for grab.
Reportedly in an interview with Golem.de which is based out of Germany, one of the officials from Sony has stated that there is still a bit of time to go before one can get the idea of how things are going to shape up when PS5 comes out. Shawn Layden, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment America, has, in fact, been quoted saying that “It will probably be some time.” He made such a comment when he was asked about the possibilities of the new games to be released for the PS 4 Pro as well as the PS5. For the PS 4 Pro, he has ruled out the chances of any exclusive games to be launched.
So there is still a lot of time to go before we can get an idea of the actual PS5 release date. But that has not at all kept the reports and updates regarding its features from coming up. And one such states that the PS5 is going to come with a discrete GPU instead of an APU which can be spotted in the Xbox Scorpio. But everything is yet to be confirmed by the developer, and we need to hold on for a bit longer to get an official statement on anything related to the PS5 release date or PS5 features.
